IF SOMETHING IS WORTH DOING, IT’S WORTH DOING WELL!!

LOTS OF FAST SWIMMING AND SUPER TEAM SPIRIT AT THE RECENT INHOUSE MEET …..with swimmers from all groups participating. Many thanks to the parents who came down on deck to help. Emily Page was a superfast Junior Shark, cheered on by her grandfather; Taylor Howe will be one to watch with her amazing fly!! RMC swimmer, Jason Fox, takes the role model prize for being an extremely motivating leader (not to mention fast swimmer!!), and Amber Comisso, also RMC, was one to watch with a “where did that come from??” 50 fly!!! Parents who haven’t had a chance yet to catch any of the Squad A,B or C swimmers in action, will be in for some surprises at our upcoming meet!

SWIMMER OF THIS DECKSPRAY is Annie Kennedy!! Annie is managing her swimming practices along with basketball and schoolwork. She comes to the pool with a smile on her face, does her deck warm up without being reminded and always has a great attitude trying to improve her technique.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE – is in full swing!! Swimmers who are making the practice commitments for their group each week, can look forward to a special event in December. Swimmers who are having difficulty meeting the commitment, need to talk to their coach and review their goals. Thanks to the many swimmers who have stayed home when sick – we’re a sharing bunch, but germs are not wanted on the pool deck (or floating in the water!!).

PRACTICE CHANGES FOR OCTOBER: remember that on Sunday, October 25th, we are hosting our first meet of the year, so there won’t be a practice. If you aren’t competing or volunteering, make sure you are there cheering our swimmers on!!

UPCOMING SWIM MEETS

1. KSSC Pentathlon – Sunday, Oct 25 – 0800-1300hrs. Our first home meet! All Squad A,B,C swimmers who got their entries in on time are registered. All KSSC parents are required to assist at the meet. 2. EBSC Meet – 13 – 15 Nov. Meet registration forms are posted on our website. Entries are due Friday, 30 October 2009, 1800hrs. Meet package can be read at: www.swimmeet.ca
